Where's It At
Yerevan, Armenia's capital is an attractive city of boulevards
and stylish buildings structured on volcanic tuffa stone.
It's one of the oldest cities in the world dating back over
2000 years but virtually no pre-twentieth century architecture
survives. Most of the buildings date from Soviet times. The
city lies in a valley and from most places the towering Mount
Ararat, the resting place of Noah's Ark, can be seen.
The best way to get to the flea market in town by tram.
Shoppers Paradise
The Vernisaj flea market, popular with tourists, attracts
sellers of all kinds of goods from antique to junk, souvenirs,
collectibles and old jumble. It helps to bring out US Dollars
with you as it's a better status currency to trade in and
holds a higher street value. |
