Hi!
I have watched some episodes of "Planet Food" on TravelChannel already, I am especially interested in the episode about Japan. Because I have no harddisk or DVD recorder I would be happy if "Planet Food" would be released on DVD, like the Pilot Guides episodes (by the way, the episode "Tokyo to Taiwan" of Pilot Guides is still missing as DVD, but "Tokyo City Guide" was great). I love to watch such shows in best quality available and I want to watch them anytime I want. What do you think about the idea of "Planet Food" on DVD?
Greetings from Austria

We are one step ahead...Planet Food is being produced on DVD, but it's not quite yet available to buy. In the future, we will also be making more episodes of Pilot Productions series (including Globe Trekker and Planet Food) available through internet TV distribution.

| Since April nothing new about Planet Food DVD? My favourite episode about Japan is just running on Travelchannel and I had no possibility to record it, so I hope the DVD is coming soon!!! |

Hi there,
OK I'm checking with our sales people to see when this title will be released on DVD.
In the meantime you can watch these Planet Food shows on our broadband channel www.globetrekker.tv (plus an interview with Merilees Parker) on pay-per-view:
Planet Food: Burgundy, France
Planet Food: South India
Planet Food: Thailand
Planet Food: Tuscany, Umbria & Emilia Romagna - Italy
Planet Food: A Guide to Southern Spain
We will also be encoding Japan in the coming weeks.
Hope this helps! |

Hi again,
OK I'm told Planet Food is only distributed on DVD in Australia via:
Shock records
200 Beavers road
Nothcote
VIC 3070
Australia
Tel: (613) 9014 0268
Fax: (613) 9482 3873
Web: www.shock.com.au
But - the only titles/formats they have available right now are these:
(DVD - Region 4) - CARIBBEAN - PLANET FOOD
(DVD - Region 4) - GERMANY - PLANET FOOD
(DVD - Region 4) - ITALY - PLANET FOOD
(DVD - Region 4) - SOUTHERN INDIA - PLANET FOOD
(DVD - Region 4) - THAILAND - PLANET FOOD
We do have plans to release the entire series, but not in the immediate future. So... your best bet would be via via www.globetrekker.tv. |
