Hi
Am also a fan of Merrilees. Can the administrator tell me, when we can see your upcoming episode on Penang and Malaysia (I see Planet Food on Foxtel in Australia)? I was recently staying at the Eastern & Oriental in Georgetown, when Merrilees and crew came in to do some filming. I am sure the episode will be great, knowing just how great the food is Penang.
Thanks
Payney
PS - A friend who lives in the US would also be interested in finding out when this episode is to feature there. |

We're not actually told broadcast dates for individual episodes by our broadcasts, but I believe this episode should go to air from early 2006 - contact your national broadcast for exact details. |

Her guide to Japan's cuisine was quite fascinating and extremely well presented. She definitely has that vivacious sparkle to her which makes for such compelling viewing.
Good stuff! |

Hi everyone, I'm a big fan of Merrilees too. Its enthusiasm to show the flavors of each country is what makes it so charismatic. I simply love the way she tastes the food. At the beginning in the first programs her destinations were mainly France, Italy, Thailand, but then I saw her in the area of the Caribbean and I told myself that girl it is perfect to visit Peru.
Without a doubt Peruvian cooking is situated within what is known as “New World Cooking”. It stands out with the best of the sea. Today more than ever, our chefs are convinced that cooking in Peru of 1000 flavors, ingredients and customs is a dream come true. In Peru exists the passion of “gourmet” cooking. A culinary philosophy based around using the varied and distinct flavors of Peru in classics and contemporary recipes that meet the most demanding tastes. Offering an innovative cuisine grounded in Peruvian cuisine and its richly varied products: fish, shellfish and a myriad of vegetables and fruits in every color and texture imaginable, respecting these natives materials and without sacrificing their individual flavors turn them into delicious, modern dishes that enhance rather than hide their Peruvian roots. Peruvian cuisine is recognized as one of the most varied and tasty, a wide variety of food in the world with 470 different pottages. Peruvian flavors continued to delight both locals and visitors. Of course, our traditional Pisco Sour (cocktail). An experience that cannot be missed. Hope she can visit PERU soon!!

Hello everybody! As I can see there are many fans of Merrilees in Peru! When will she visit us?? Curiously I've seen two chefs of Planet Food (Merrilees and Padma) in Brasil...and 3 shows in Mexico....so...now it's time for Merrilees to visit Peru. As Marisol says :"Peruvian cuisine is recognized as one of the most varied and tasty, a wide variety of food in the world with 470 differnt pottages" and don't forget our desserts!. I believe she must visit Lima, Cuzco, Piura, Arequipa..and finally Ica to taste our Pisco Sour. I'm sure she will enjoy it!

I am a big fan of Merrilees, their passion for the food and their charisma has been able to have many fans. Soon it will be the end of the year, and as I can see there are not signs of new programs with Merrilees. As Marisol says, I believe that now it is time to visit Peru whose fantastic food will be a delight for the televiewers. I mention a comment in a specialized magazine:
Peru boasts one of the finest cuisines in Latin America. Recipes such as cebiche (raw fish marinated in lemon juice), pachamanca (meat and vegetables cooked underground), Chupe de camarones (shrimp soup), aji de gallina (spicy chicken) picante de mariscos (spicy shellfish stew) pescado a lo macho (where the fish is served with a colorful shellfish sauce) between others are just a few of the mouth-watering dishes served up in Peru. The quality and variety of dishes in Peru are thanks to the passion that Peruvians have for the food and to the great variety of available products during the whole year, because Peru is a great pantry, the dream of any chef.
Merrilees come and visit us !!! I' sure you will enjoy it!!
