I just saw the Los Angeles Show this past weekend on PBS! That was Awesome! LOVED IT, LOVED IT!!! A few times during the show i was like...OMG, i've been there! And to think, just a few months ago....Megan was filming in my own backyard! I know everyone says this, but i'll say it again....Megan has such an Great personality! She's the best.
Helen, any idea when this will be available on Globetrekker.tv or for DVD purchase? |

Hey - Glad to hear you enjoyed the L.A. show!!!
Not sure when it will be available on DVD and GlobeTrekerChannel.tv as the rights are still tied up with broadcast channels.
I'll see what I can find out...

Ah! I can't wait to see that episode!! Unfortunately, it probably won't air on my local station until next year. 
Hey HBboy, did Megan go somewhere in the episode that you've never been to or didn't even know existed? I've been to LA four times and there is still so much I haven't seen yet.

Well, a lot of the places she went to i knew about...some i've never been to or had no desire visit to until Megan goes there and her quirky personality meshes w/her environment and gives you a different pt of view.  And she went to the LA county coroners office for some reason...dunno why they did that.
The watts twrs in Los angeles, i knew about....but never been there...until about two weeks ago. I've never been there due to the area its in, my friends don't feel safe there. So i took my GF, and we have a good time! The people working near there are sooo friendly. It just goes to show that you can have fun in anywhere if you just have a good attitude.
I've been to Venice Beach, Catalina, Beverley hills, downtown Los Angeles, and Signal Hill....Catalina Island is Amazing!! I went snorkeling there 3 summers ago. They actually serve something called a "buffalo Burger" on catalina, which supposedly is made from buffalo meat. Catalina has a few thousand buffs on the other side of the island.
There is a burger joint in East Long beach that i hoped they would visit. Its a Burger place called Friscos, owned by Jesse James...the owner/founder of West Coast Choppers & is married to Sandra Bullock. They have the MOST AMAZIN burgers i've ever tasted!! And celebs have been know to frequent there, too. Its not as trendy as Pinks, a popular Hotdog stand in Hollywood..but it ranks 2nd to none in when it comes to burgers....
I wish i could watch it again. The 50min or so ran so fast. They did a pretty good job w/the Los Angeles show. A few times during the show i was like "WOW, i've been there SOO many times!" She actually pulled into a gas station in Signal hill near the end of the show that i've probably been to more than a hundred times!!! Pretty surreal feeling  |

I didn't find LA DVD in Globe Trekker store... Any idea if we will get it for Christmas?

| OK the answer is no firm date as yet - the good news is Globe Trekker Los Angeles will be our 1st DVD release in 2009. |
