Old episodes on dvd (or even video!)?...

I've noticed a number of very appealing episodes available to buy on video but not dvd (eg- micronesia, s pacific, madagascar etc), and some episodes which don't seem to be available at all (eg- ethiopia). I was wondering (hoping) if they will ever be available, rather than just sniplets appearing on specials. Perhaps they are considered dated? Well, i would buy them!
How about more box sets, whether by series or region (such as the recent south america box set available only in the american online shop)? There are many episodes i would like to back date, even if its mostly out of nostalgia for the country or having watched the episode when i was younger.
Just a thought. and a pitch!

Hey thanks for this Johnny - I'll pass on your comments to our DVD production guys. As for new DVD releases this year, coincidentally Globe Trekker Micronesia is on the list, as well as:

Oooh there are some good 'uns there! Nice emphasis on africa sets in particular (really want to get my hands on ethiopia after a memorable trip there last year). How about combining micronesia with other pacific islands episodes?... ok getting ahead of myself! thanks for the quick and positive update Helen!

Here's some more info. re. the Africa DVDs - our L.A. office have also confirmed these new DVDs will feature these additional shows:

South Africa: South Africa 2, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Botswana & Namibia and Zambia & Malawi.

Northern Africa: Morocco 2, Tunisia & Libya and Egypt

Western Africa: Cameroon, Benin, Burkina Faso & Mali, Ghana & Ivory Coast and Sengal & Cape Verde.

As for Micronesa? Unfortunately production is already underway on this title. Thanks so much for all your feedback.
